Australian Brother

My brother got home from his mission a few weeks. He went to Australia and now has a cool accent. Here are a couple of pictures I took at his homecoming.

Boston and I waiting for dinner.

Rough Week

Poor Boston has had a rough week with accidents. On Monday he put his hand inside the car tire and touched the brake pad and burnt his little fingers. I felt so bad, because he was screaming and I couldn't figure out why. I thought he pinched his fingers or got stung by a a bee. By the time I figured it out he was starting to get a blister. He cried for two hours and I had to keep it in cold water for a long time.

On Saturday he was coming inside from playing outside and slipped on the steps and got a scratch on his face.

On Sunday he was playing on the Lovesac and slipped off and bonked his forehead on the windowsill. To top things off he is supposed to be getting his two year old pictures soon. I guess we will have to wait until he is healed.

Baseball Fan

Boston loves to run around playing baseball. He will grab a ball and play catch for an hour. When that gets old, he asks for the bat, then he runs around the house hitting the ball. Thank goodness we have an inflatable bat. Every time we turn on the TV he wants to watch baseball. I don't know what we are going to do when baseball season is over. We will have one unhappy kid.

Good Little Helper

Boston thinks it is a blast to help clean the toilets. Whenever I tell him it's time to clean the bathrooms, he runs straight to the toilet and grabs the cleaning brush. I think it's because of the water and bubbles, but hey it works to my benefit.

One day Boston thought it would be a good idea to put sunscreen on. He opened the bottle and spread it all over himself and his clothes. He put enough on to last a week. I thought it was hilarious until he rubbed some in his eye. He started screaming and it took forever to rinse it out.

Summer Fun 2010

Boston and I have been having a great time this summer. Here are some pictures to show the partying.

Boston showing off his Jogapolooza shirt.

Boston loves to play and watch baseball with his dad.

Boston playing at the park.

Boston loves to help me garden. He helps water the plants and cement. He also pulls flowers when he shouldn't.

Boston lounging around outside.

What can be better than outside?

Boston begging for a treat.

An afternoon at the bike shop.

Why use a table, when you can lay on the floor to eat cheerios?

Island Park

We went to Island Park in Idaho for the Elggren family reunion. We had a great time! We went to Big Springs. The water was crystal clear. I have never seen water soooo clear and pretty before. There were seagulls everywhere and we even saw a muskrat. People were feeding the seagulls and they were going crazy.

We went into Yellowstone for a day. The kids and dads floated down the Firehole River. It was a little too scary for the younger kids, so they were freaking out, but the dads went down a couple of times.

We went to Old Faithful, and for the record it was a minute past the predicted time frame. It was also pouring outside, so Boston was freaking out until we got him protected from the rain. It was pretty cool though.

We saw some other geysers, they were amazing. Some of the hot pots were beautiful. The water was so blue.

We saw Yellowstone Falls. The lower falls were awesome. That was Darin's highlight of the trip. It was so cool to see the gorgeous view. One of my favorites was Boston doing his chipmunk laugh and making grandpa almost spit his drink out.
After Yellowstone we went to a pizza place. Boston was watching baseball(his new favorite word) and he was yelling at the t.v. "Wow, wow, no, yeah!" He had the whole restaurant laughing at him.

We walked around West Yellowstone, MT. That's right it's in Montana. To get there we had to drive through a really bad hail storm. Once we got there, we went to the a bunch of shops and we had the best ice cream. If you ever get the chance, you have to get ice cream from Montana.

Our last day there we floated down the river. It was fun to see the magnificent scenery. We also went to Bear World. They had elk, deer, moose, and bears. We had a great time and I would love to go back to Island Park.

Silly Boston

We were at the Hughes house for dinner and Boston got covered in syrup. I decided to give Boston a bath. Of course the other boys decided they needed to join the fun. They had a blast splashing around. Steph pulled Kam out the of the bath and came back for Cody. She asked "whose turn is it to get out the bath?"
Boston immediately answers "Cody!" He is no dummy he didn't want to get out of the bath tub.

This is Boston trying to put his own hat on.

We were at Wal-mart last night. We were getting in the car and Boston was still wide awake, so Darin asked him "You staying up to party with mom and dad?"
Boston quickly stated "No!" I guess he really was tired.
I love that kid so much and he does the funniest things these days!
